Happy Friday! I hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebrating with family and/or friends. Unfortunately my family couldn’t gather together because of Covid. Just a few days before my parents were planning to visit they both tested positive. Thankfully they are recovering well. Jordan had to work on Thanksgiving, which left me by to celebrate with the animals. Normally I wouldn’t mind the alone time but of course on a holiday where traditionally you are with family and friends, it’s just hard to be alone. I decided to make the most of my time with all the animals, even though it was raining most of the day.
This week instead of highlighted some moments on the farm I thought I would share my gratitude list!
First, I am beyond thankful for my husband Jordan. We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary today! I don’t have the words to express how blessed I am to have a man like Jordan as my husband. He is kind, loving, creative, hard-working, and so much more. Our marriage has been through just about every trial you can imagine but no matter what, we still choose each other every day.
I am of course thankful for ALL of my family. I am thankful for my parents who love me unconditionally and are always there to support us. I am thankful for my many siblings, nieces, and nephews! I’m thankful for my aunts and uncles who have influenced me more than they probably know. I’m thankful for my grandparents who helped mold me into the person that I am today.
I’m thankful for great friendships. We are blessed with knowing some of the most wonderful people on the planet! I wish a few of our friends lived closer but I’m thankful that distance does not diminish our friendships.
I am thankful for all of our animals. Beau and Carl have taught us what it means to be a best friend. Jasper has taught us the importance of naps and playtime. Our chickens have taught us how to enjoy nature to its fullest. Madeline has taught us how to love sacrificially. I am so thankful for all of our animals and for the ones to join our farm in the future.
I can’t go through this list without being thankful for our farm, the Redeemed Coop. We may have only been here a few months but we have learned countless lessons. Jordan and I are always finding new ways to enjoy being together and working together on the farm. God has use this farm to heal wounds in both of our lives and for that I will always be grateful.
I hope you enjoyed the small list of gratitude. We are so blessed to share our journey with you and I can’t wait to share more as our farm grows!
How can I pray for you?
