Our Story

Hi friend! We are so glad you are here. We’re Amanda and Jordan, The Redeemed Coopers! We have been married since November 2011 and have been chasing big dreams ever since. For years, we talked about what it might look like to build a life centered on faith, family, and the land. In 2021, we took a big leap of faith and moved to a little slice of heaven in Tennessee, known affectionately as the “Dimple of the Universe.” We had no farming background, but we had a deep desire for a more intentional way of living, rooted in purpose. What started as a far fetched dream turned into a beautiful reality beyond what we could have imagined. The Redeemed Coop was born, a farmstead life full of more joy (and hard work) than we ever expected.

Our Farm

Everything you see here started from scratch—no barns, no fences, no animals… just a patch of land and a whole lot of grit. One step at a time (and often by trial and error), we’ve built a homestead that reflects our heart for simplicity and stewardship. We raise a small herd of Dexter cows, hand-milk our Oberhasli dairy goats, collect eggs from a comical number of chickens, and waddle alongside our Indian Runner ducks. Each animal has a purpose and a place, and we love the rhythm of working alongside them each day. In addition to caring for our animals, we craft small-batch goat milk skincare, bake sourdough, and share the ins and outs of farm life with our online community.

Our Values

At the heart of everything we do is our faith in Jesus Christ. He is the reason and the rhythm behind our farm, our marriage, our work, and our adoption journey. We believe that everything we’ve been given- this land, this calling, and even the struggles are a gift from God. Our aim is to steward it all well and live in a way that points others back to Him. Our hope is that as you follow our story, you’re not just inspired by farm life, but reminded of the goodness and faithfulness of God. The name “The Redeemed Coop” comes from our own story of redemption, and it’s a daily reminder that even the broken and humble things can be made beautiful in His hands.
